Hey y'all! I am back with another monthly favourites! :) Feb flew by real fast and my exams will be here in no time boohoo :( This month has been quite a slack month since I have almost 2 weeks of holidays. It is as if studying is a part time thing. Ok, anyway!
Favourite song(s)
If You Love Someone - The Veronicas
Hear it here :)
Hurricane - MisterWives
Hear it here :)
I have been singing a lot lately ever since hitting the karaoke with my two best friends. My family loves my mini concerts in from of them all (ok maybe not...)
Favourite Show
I know I am slow once again on the bandwagon, but I recently have been watching Superman is Back! It's a korean reality show where dads take over the roles of mums and look after the young ones. My favourite segments are of Sarang and the triplets! JUST LOOK AT THEM heheh ovaries exploding
Favourite Moments
Apart from CNY which I thoroughly enjoyed, I really appreciate Sam taking out time to have a meal with me yesterday as well. We went to Holland Village looking for a cafe to eat at, and we ended up at Craft Bakery and Cafe. There was an ongoing promotion which includes a main and a drink for $15. I ordered a Har Jeong Kai Burger with Mocha Latte, and Sam got a Prawn Aglio Olio with some tea i forgot haha
I forgot to ask them to not include mayo, so I had to throw away the buns and scrape the parts of the chicken contaminated with mayo :( I tried not to waste food by picking out the parts of the bun without sauce. ARGH I hate mayo, hate it so much. The burger was quite a disappointment though. Is the chicken grilled or fried?!?! And it was mehhh. HAHA I came before and ordered the pasta which was a better option.
But company was great, and I had a fun time talking to my bb <3

| ok finally telling this story |
Yes yes, how can I miss this one out. My friends were asking me why am I not blogging about this major event ahah but it seriously is no big deal to me. I mean like yah, it's money but my parents took the money HAHA. I did my hair at Jean Yip in Tiong Bahru Plaza, and there was a bingo competition. Every $88 you spend, you get one bingo card. So I got 6 bingo cards. We had to come back on Sunday to play the bingo competition in the mall event. I remember complaining to my dad what a waste of time this was and we obviously won't win anything. I mean, there were so many aunties beside me with STACKS of bingo cards!! HAHA, so I won't explain how to play Bingo here but as I sensed I really had a chance to win this shit, my heart started beating very fast as the next numbers were being called. So the next ball rolled out of the bingo machine, and I won! I screamed BINGOOOOOO!!!! HAHHAH my brother and I were such an embarrassment. So yah, that's the story. Parents took the money since they paid for my hair salon visit. SO I have no money to treat any of you reading HAHA. but I can finally strike off WIN A LUCKY DRAW off my bucket list hehe
Favourite Top
In the spirit of last minute shopping, I went to Rockstar 2 days before CNY visiting started. I was hoping there will be something really nice I liked and I did! I bought a white backless dress (which I think garners a lot of courage for me to wear out) and a tropical floral top ($30)

On this topic, can I just say how funny it is that when I am online, I will seldom buy a $30 top because I think it's too expensive, yet when I am at a physical price, $30 is considered cheap?! HAHA, I only "realised" that the top was $30 when I reached home. But when I was paying for it at Rockstar, it was like yah its $30 lo. HAHAH the way my brain works. The dress was $50, and I think it's worth it given the quality but 1) I bought it a size too big bc they didn't have a size smaller and I was not in my right mind 2) Not sure if I will be so daring to wear the backless dress out all the time HAHA oh wellz guess I'll one day wake up and think it's okay?!
Favourite Brand
I have rather sensitive eyes, and wearing contact lenses could never be a long term thing. But I recently switched brands to MediFlex and it's really good?! I know I am wearing it beyond the recommended 8 hours daily, but my eyes doesn't feel dry after wearing it for a whole day and to top it off, it's really cheap. I bought it from Spectacle Hut with a friend. We got 4 boxes for $100 (i can't really rmbr), and each box had 3 pairs. So do the math, one pair costs $8.33 and this is monthly!! So really really affordable.

Favourite Quote/Phrase
I think no one knows this but I actually have a tumblr account HAHA. I have not told anyone because it's private and I don't want people to see this side of me. On tumblr, I am really depressed because come on, everyone has their sad moments. But I don't want people to worry about me regarding the things I post, so I just decided not to share my tumblr account. I follow really inspiring accounts to lift up my mood, and here's something I found that really made me smile.
Life can be really dull sometimes, but it's only because we deprive ourselves of the little excitements in life. Look up, look around. There are many things in life for us to smile about.
That's all for February. (after 19 years, still dk if the spelling of this word is accurate HAHAH)
Love,
Xin Hui
