THE UNDESERVED HYPE

Today's post is about the things that don't deserve all the hype it currently has. I am writing this in hopes that no more wasted money will go down the drain and can be spent on something actually worthwhile haha.

FatCat Ice Cream Bar

The whole rave about the Salted Egg Charcoal Waffle was going all around Instagram, so Ai Ling and I went down to try it for ourselves.

Classic shot checked.
Asked for recommendations checked.
Rating : 5/10

I really do not taste the difference between the charcoal waffle and the standard golden brown one, besides the fact that when you eat the waffle on its own, there is a slight bitter charcoal aftertaste. In my opinion, that taste is horrible hahah. I don't even want to know how they manage to get a waffle to taste like charcoal. We ordered the Hay and Honey Ice cream flavour because the counter staff recommended it to us. I do like the interesting ice cream taste. No, no taste of hay so don't know why it's called Hay and Honey hahah but it definitely carried the honey taste. The egg yolk sauce wasn't really good. Maybe I can't really take how a savoury sauce is infused into a dessert, but in my opinion, it wasn't a good match. When you eat the ice cream and waffle with the egg yolk sauce, the sauce overpowers everything else.

Ai Ling and I went down on a late Saturday afternoon and we had to wait for 10-15minutes for a table. I think the atmosphere was pretty cramped and noisy, but we chose a weekend to visit, so I guess we can't fully blame the cafe. I would go back if a friend stays near Bedok (Can I also add it was rather inconvenient to get there) and wants to try it, or else nahhhhh. Go for the standard golden brown waffle and skip the egg yolk sauce. Your experience would be better then I hope! :-)

Baked Kitkat pudding flavour

I have seen youtubers trying this kitkat flavour and so I decided to try it. I really anticipated for the chocolate to turn golden brown after popping it into the microwave but the white chocolate coating just melted and the result was a yogurt tasting biscuit.

I rather eat it without the hassle of having to microwave it because it has little difference. Matcha kit kat still my favourite heheh.

AMPed Trampoline Park

I know how I stated in my previous posts that I had a fun time at AMPed Trampoline Park, but that's before I went to ZoomPark! Zoom park was cheaper than AMPed ($7.50/half hour) and and the space was SO much bigger, like at least twice the size of AMPed. When I went yesterday, it was EMPTY which was really shiok hahah we just jumped everywhere without worries. The staff at Zoom Park were really friendly and played with us a game of dodgeball as well heheh.

So yeah, that's all for today's post! Also, I am really excited to be travelling to Melbourne with Nat for 9 days! :-) Will blog about it too! hehe take care everyone! :-)

Love,
Xin Hui
