SATURDAY OIISHI

Last Saturday, my father brought my family our for dinner at a Japanese Restaurant called MIZ Japanese Restaurant.

It's a small restaurant decorated with a homely feel. There were only 2 staffs serving the customers when I went and one was the owner of the Restaurant who came from Tokyo.

I ordered the Unagi Rice as shown above ($18). I loves the Unagi as it was fresh and the sauce was not too overpowering. It did not come with white Japanese Rice like how all the other restaurants will serve it. Here, this brown-coloured rice which I suspect is mixed with teriyaki sauce was served. I don't taste much difference between it and plain rice though...

Mummy ordered a pork ramen ($10) which does not look appetizing at all but trust me, it was GOOD! The broth has a slight peppery taste and it complemented the springy ramen so well! Thick generous slices of pork were a plus point!

Some other dishes my family ordered. Can't remember the exact price but it was around $12-20! My favourite was the Soft Shell sushi! I didn't really fancy the grilled pork because it was quite tough.

Didn't manage to take a photo of the fried chicken ($10) which my domestic helper ordered but the juicy chicken is definitely worth a try. My father and brother ordered teriyaki chicken rice set ($13) which was average!

If you don't have a car, this place is quite inaccessible or else, you can head there for a hearty Japanese meal in the future!

Love,
Xin Hui
